Ocaquatics team members donate their locks to kids with hair loss


Fourteen group members from Ocaquatics Swim School locations reduce eight to 12 inches in their hair to donate it to Children With Hair Loss. The Aug. 27 event passed off on the Ocaquatics Swim School Eureka facility near Palmetto Bay and Cutler Bay.

Children With Hair Loss is a non-income company that provides human hair replacements without charge to kids and teens going through cancer treatments, alopecia, trichotillomania, burns and different medically-associated hair loss.

“It turned into an great and fun day,” said Miren Oca, owner of Ocaquatics Swim School. “We collected 36 ponytails from our 14 wonderful group members.”

Hairdresser Dina Acle donated her time to reduce off the ponytails. “It is great that such a simple act can carry happiness to a person’s life,” stated Greidy DeArmas, economic manager of the Ocaquatics Swim School. “I am thankful for this amazing possibility and being capable of help such a superb cause.”

Camila Julien, widespread manager of the Ocaquatics Swim School Kendall vicinity, became pleased to assist.

“We are so happy to be making a effective impact inside the children’s lives via donating to one of these incredible purpose,” Julien said.

Daniela Canchon, widespread supervisor of the Ocaquatics Swim School Tropical location, felt the identical way.

“We love making a difference together,” Canchon said. “We are already planning to do this once more as a crew in some years once our hair grows out.”

Jennifer Banos, manager-in-training of the Ocaquatics Swim School Tropical place, was one of the different members.
